We love working in spaces with history and character. Our last home was at the Dominion Bridge building, built in 1919 and later becoming the birthplace of many steel bridges throughout Canada. Our new home is equally historic and full of character.
Today's Crossroads Market was yesteryear's meat packing plant for Burns Foods. Patrick Burns, one of Calgary’s “Big Four” responsible for the first Calgary Stampede in 1912, had it built in 1898 to support his prosperous meat business. This interior photo from the early 1900s shows the steel-clad columns that we walk past every day on the way into our new office.
It’s pretty cool to be working on the cutting edge of the new world of online management and marketing systems in a building just about as old as our city. We also love sampling all of the great food vendors downstairs in Crossroads Market on Fridays.
We're just down the road from our old spot. Come visit us at #213, 1235 26 Ave SE in the Crossroads Market building for a coffee or a quick match of foosball.
